GRADE 11 SEMESTER #2 - CONSCIOUS ECONOMICS

OVERALL FOCUS

  • Economics, Government, and the Power of Film

 

 

POSSIBLE PROJECTS*

  • FILM REVIEW & SOCIAL AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

    • Write a film critique of a documentary that covers an issue you care about, and that connects to the government or the economy.

    • Then, try to galvanize other people to watch the documentary and care about the issue, and hold a discussion about it online or in person.

    • Finally, we'll collate your reviews into an online book.

  • SHORT DOCUMENTARY

    • Create a film with a partner that explores a local economic or governmental issue in Lima.

    • Raise awareness about the issue through the film and contact the local government to voice your concerns.

    • Hold a viewing of your documentary for people in our community.

  • PRESENTATION OF LEARNING (POL)

    • At the end of the semester, you'll present your most important learnings from each project.

  • INDEPENDENT PROJECT

    • This semester, rather than doing an internship, you will undertake an independent project of your choosing.​​
